“I have been living in the United States for over 20 years. I have no right to evaluate what is happening in Russia, ”says Sergey Gonchar – Hockey

Trainer Pittsburgh Sergey Gonchar shared his opinion about the statements of hockey players about politics.

– In recent years, hockey players, in particular Artemy Panarin, Alexander Ovechkin, Evgeni Malkin and others, repeatedly expressed their political views. In particular, the forward of the New York Rangers criticized Vladimir Putin, while the captain of the Washington Capitals and Malkin, on the contrary, support the president of Russia.

– It is very difficult for me to compare in terms of schools, education, how medical facilities work. I have no right to evaluate what is happening in Russia, because I do not have complete information. I have been living in the United States for over 20 years and cannot rate.

When athletes are criticized, they say: “Well, there’s a sofa analyst, he knows everything and understands everything.” When athletes, not working in politics, not knowing the situation from the inside, not having statistics, not having all the facts, talking about politics, then all the time it surprises me and touches me.

I could say something if I was the person through whom the information flows, cash flows, and I can evaluate how this or that situation develops. But I am a man in sports and live in America, without information inside Russia, and my words can only cause a smile. What can an athlete who does not know the facts about the situation in Russia say? – said the potter.

Malkin issued a powerful civil statement: about Putin, protests and life in Russia

Panarin’s loud interview – about Putin, lawlessness and the contract with the Rangers. Now and text

“I am creating the Putin Team social movement.” Yes, this is also Ovechkin
