"Hawaii Five-0" says goodbye to the regular series, but leaves the door ajar and torches lit – Deadline

After weeks of speculation, this week's Hawaii Five-0 season 10 preview confirmed that a long-time character won't be present for at least the rest of the season.

The successful restart of the classic Hawaii Five-0 the series with Alex O’Loughlin in the role of detective Steve McGarrett and Scott Caan in the role of Danno concluded season 9 with an amazing finish, leaving fans wondering which of the three characters had been shot and whether the victim would survive.

Tonight, we found out.

SPOILER NOTICE: DO NOT READ MORE IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE TONIGHT EPISODE

The lucky winner of the goodbye lottery? Nient & # 39; none other than Jorge Garcia (who many fans will know as "Hurley" of ABC) Lost), which joined Hawaii Five-O in season 4 and became a regular in season 5.

Tonight's episode revealed that Garcia (special consultant Jerry Ortega on the show) was shot in the stomach. He is still alive, though, and showrunner Peter Kenkov indicated that there may be a future appearance on the show, since he survived.

Ortega's own character left the door open, saying that the pre-death experience left him eager to explore the rest of his life, rather than devote himself to the Five-0 task force. At least for now.

"I am grateful for my time Hawaii Five-0"Garcia told TVLine." I loved going back to the islands and creating a character connected to so many people. Playing Jerry was a blast and I can't wait to get back to playing with my TV ohana".

In other words, everything is not Lost for Hawaii Five-0 fans who want to see a comeback or a cameo.
